Thao-Nguyen Phan lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. Graduating with a Master in Fine Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago, Phan is a multimedia artist who uses painting, installation, video and performance to depict historical and contemporary concepts. Through literature, philosophy and daily life, she observes ambiguous issues in social convention and tradition. Ultimately Phan wants to share her contemplation on loneliness as a human condition in the modern society.
